International Cooperation and Development of International Welding Training and Qualification System in China

Abstract：This paper reviews the establishment and development of international welding training and qualification system in China during the period of 25 years of Sino-Germany cooperation and 10 years of authorization by International Institute of Welding（IIW）. As the first Asian national body and training Institute which gets the full authorization of IIW, Chinese Welding Training and Qualification Committee (CANB) and Harbin Welding Training Institute (WTI Harbin) have trained thousands of welding personnel for industries, and the number of international diplomas awarded ranks the second in the world. Wide range of international communication and cooperation promote Chinese welding training and qualification system and speed up the pace of Chinese welding industry stepping into the international market.
